List of Australian Ambassadors to the United States. The Embassy of Australia in Washington is one of Australia's most important diplomatic postings, having been established in 1930.

Several distinguished Australians have been Ambassador, one Governor-General of Australia (Lord Casey), one Chief Justice of Australia (Sir Owen Dixon), one Governor of Tasmania (Sir James Plimsoll) and former federal political leaders Andrew Peacock from the Liberal Party of Australia and Kim Beazley of the Australian Labor Party.
